✨Welcome to Journey Light Ministries
Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
My name is Brittany, and I am a Child of the Most High God—part of a royal priesthood, chosen and called according to a purpose. I’m on a mission to fulfill the Great Commission, not in my own strength, but in the strength He’s given me.
For 14 years, I’ve served as a Registered Nurse. But in 2024, God made it clear—it was time to separate my identity from my career. I had tied who I was too closely to what I did. He reminded me: I am more than a nurse. I am the light of the World. A city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:14–16 (NKJV)
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
From pit to purpose, I’ve been on a refining journey—learning to lay down pride, listen to His voice, and walk in obedience. On February 1st, 2025, I stepped fully into ministry. He called me to wake up the sleepers and encourage those ready to build a personal relationship, deny their flesh, walk in the Spirit, and find true freedom in Christ!
🐑 “My Sheep Hear My Voice”
John 10:27 (NKJV):
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
❤️ “If You Love Me, Obey My Commands”
John 14:15 (NKJV):
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
🌄 “Wake Up, Sleepers”
Ephesians 5:14 (NKJV):
“Therefore He says: ‘Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.’”
Salvation is a life-long process and I'm still growing—honing in on the fruits of the Spirit like patience, gentleness, and self-control. But I’m walking boldly in the truth that I was made for such a time as this. Join me on my JouRNey from Milk to Meat as I teach the Word of God, inspired by the Bible and the Holy Spirit!
🍼➡️🥩 Milk to Meat
Hebrews 5:12–14 (NKJV)
"For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God;
and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

Journey Light Ministries
Prayer Bootcamp
It all begins with an idea.
Strengthen Your Prayer Life
Prayer isn’t just a discipline—it’s a lifeline. Whether you're just starting or ready to go deeper, this quick prayer bootcamp will help you build a powerful rhythm of intimacy with God.
🔁 The P.R.A.Y. Method
A simple structure to guide your prayer life:
P – Praise
Start by exalting who God is. Thank Him for His goodness, power, and faithfulness.
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving…” – Psalm 100:4
R – Repent
Ask God to reveal anything in your heart that needs to be surrendered.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God...” – Psalm 51:10
A – Ask
Bring your needs, intercede for others, and stand on His promises boldly.
“You have not because you ask not.” – James 4:2
Y – Yield
Surrender your plans and listen for His voice. Let His will be done over yours.
“Not my will, but Yours be done.” – Luke 22:42
🙌 The Names of God to Use in Prayer
Calling on God by name deepens intimacy and reminds us of His character:
Jehovah Jireh – The Lord Will Provide
Jehovah Rapha – The Lord Who Heals
Jehovah Shalom – The Lord Is Peace
Jehovah Nissi – The Lord My Banner (Victory)
El Shaddai – God Almighty
Abba – Father, Daddy God
El Roi – The God Who Sees Me
Jehovah Tsidkenu – The Lord Our Righteousness
Yahweh – I AM (Eternal, Self-Existent One)
Use these names to declare truth as you pray:
“Jehovah Jireh, I trust You to provide. El Roi, thank You for seeing me in the secret place.”
💬 Final Encouragement
Prayer isn’t about perfect words—it’s about real connection. Start where you are. Speak from your heart. Make room for both talking and listening. This is where freedom, clarity, and power are birthed.
Let’s be a people of persistent, Spirit-led prayer.
You were made to hear His voice.
Practical Steps….
Satan's temptations today often don’t come with a pitchfork or a dramatic showdown in the wilderness—they come in subtle, quiet, everyday moments, especially around identity, purpose, and trust in God. Here's how those "form-less" temptations show up in modern life……
Satan's temptations today often don’t come with a pitchfork or a dramatic showdown in the wilderness—they come in subtle, quiet, everyday moments, especially around identity, purpose, and trust in God. Here's how those "form-less" temptations show up in modern life:
🧠 1. "If you are who God says you are..." — Identity Temptations
“If you are the Son of God…” – Matthew 4:3, 6
Modern form:
“If you’re really a child of God, why are you struggling?”
“You need to prove your worth—show them you matter.”
“You're not enough unless you accomplish something great.”
Deception: Making you doubt your identity in Christ, pushing you to earn love or validation instead of resting in it.
Truth to fight back:
“This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” – Matthew 3:17
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” - John 1:12
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession,
that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” - I Peter 2:9“…When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance…”- Ephesians 1:13-14“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”- Psalm 139: 13-14
You were sealed, loved, and secure before you were ever formed in your mother’s womb
🍞 2. "Turn these stones into bread" — Provision Temptations
“Tell these stones to become bread.” – Matthew 4:3
Modern form:
“God’s not moving fast enough—take control.”
“Compromise your values to get what you need.”
“If you don’t make it happen, it won’t happen.”
Deception: Distrusting God's timing and provision, tempting you to meet legitimate needs in illegitimate ways. Lust of the flesh!
Truth to fight back:
“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” – Matthew 4:4
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” - Proverbs 3:5-6“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.”- Jeremiah 17: 7-8“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” - Isaiah 26: 3-4“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.”- Psalm 37:3-5“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” - Romans 15:13
God’s Word sustains more than the world’s shortcuts. He is enough!
⛪ 3. "Throw yourself down" — Performance Temptations
“Throw yourself down...for it is written…” – Matthew 4:6
Modern form:
“Make a name for yourself—God will back you up.”
“Post it for attention—God wants you seen, right?”
“Test God. If He really cares, He’ll prove it.”
Deception: Using God to get attention, security, or affirmation—manipulating faith to serve ego.
Truth to fight back:
“Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” – Matthew 4:7
“Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah.” - Deuteronomy 6:16
“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse... Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing…’”- Malachi 3:10
…………………..This is the only time in Scripture where God says, “Test me.” It’s not about doubting Him—but trusting His promise by acting in faith.
God is to be trusted, not tested or used.
👑 4. "Worship me and I’ll give it all to you" — Ambition Temptations
“All this I will give you…if you will bow down and worship me.” – Matthew 4:9
Modern form:
“Chase success—no matter the cost.”
“If you just cut corners, you’ll get ahead.”
“God wants you to be happy—go get yours.”
Deception: Pursuing influence, power, or success outside of God's plan. Avoid The Pride of Life!
Truth to fight back:
“Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” – Matthew 4:10
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”- Matthew 6:33
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”- Jeremiah 29:13
Only God is worthy—and His way is better. Seek him above all else!
So, how do we stay sharp?
🛡️ 4 Ways to Guard Against Formless Temptation
Know the Word – Jesus fought every lie with Scripture. We can too.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”James 4: 7 (NIV)
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Ephesians 6:10-11 (NIV)
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Check the voice – Is it pushing you to prove yourself or trust God?
Psalm 119:11 (NIV)
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
Hebrews 4:15-16 (NIV)
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses,
but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence…”
Stay in community – Isolation breeds vulnerability. Walk with others who keep you grounded.
Pray without ceasing-
Matthew 26:41 (NIV)
“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”James 5:16 (NIV)
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”The Lord’s Prayer as found in Matthew 6:9–13 (NIV):
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
