Hi, I’m Professor Ebikeme, and I’m honored to introduce you to JouRNey Light! In 2018, God planted a vision in my heart to make the nursing journey easier—lighter—for those stepping into this incredible profession. For me, light signifies the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which has been my source of knowledge, strength, wisdom, and purpose throughout my journey.
With 14 years of bedside ICU experience across 8 states and 14 cities, 9 years in academia—helping students & raising NCLEX pass rates from 70% to 95%—and leadership roles in nursing education, I have been blessed to serve by onboarding and training hundreds of novice educators, establishing affiliation agreements, developing curricula, and improving student persistence and outcomes. As a content expert, my mission is deeply rooted in faith: to empower, educate, and guide nursing students, novice educators, and new grads to success—helping them step into their God-given purpose and excel in their calling.

Brittany Ebikeme MSN, RN is an Oklahoma native with 14 years of diverse nursing experience, spanning teaching, private, and trauma hospitals. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 2011, after which she embarked on a journey in travel nursing, exploring various healthcare settings across Oklahoma, Texas, Connecticut, and all five Boroughs of New York, California, Michigan, Nebraska, and Illinois. Her clinical expertise encompasses ICU, CCU, PCU, Telemetry, home health, stand-alone ER’s, insurance, care coordination, and lithotripsy clinics.
In 2016, Brittany furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing Education. She dedicated five years to facilitating learning for students in Adult Health, Complex Adult Health, and Pharmacology for Nursing Practice at Chamberlain College of Nursing. Throughout her tenure, she demonstrated leadership as the Chapter Leader and West Region Counselor for Sigma, the Honor Society of Nursing, while also serving as a Faculty Liaison for the Student Government Association and maintaining lifelong membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
In 2021, Brittany reignited her passion for nursing while caring for Critical Care patients on COVID units during a return to Travel Nursing. Concurrently, she worked as a PRN clinical instructor, further enriching her teaching experience.
Brittany served as a full-time Clinical Education Manager ~ onboarding and training hundreds of adjunct and full-time clinical faculty, establishing affiliation agreements, and maintaining clinical compliance. Currently, she is a PRN Clinical Instructor for Baylor University. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in educational theory, employing diverse learning strategies tailored to individual needs. With a focus on fostering competence, confidence, and safety.
